A replacement driver’s license was finaly issued for a client in Asia.

In this case, the driver’s license of a foreign client with a Dutch driver’s license was stolen. After that, all the formalities of the RDW were neatly met in order to obtain a replacement driving license. However, the RDW rejected the request because the client was no EU resident anymore.

It was annoying that this client needed the driver’s license for work and in that Asian country there was extra tight police supervision. So there was a rush!

Then a legal injunction was initiated at the Dutch Court. The RDW then realised that there not only was a rush, but that the complaint was rightly made! After a call with the RDW and good consultation, the case could be withdrawn and the client gets the replacement driver’s license.
